Who We Are
The Central New York Public Power Coalition (CNY PPC) is a local, grassroots coalition of individuals and organizations who support Public Power for Syracuse and CNY.
The purpose of the Central New York Public Power Coalition (CNY PPC) is to build grassroots support for the creation of a public power system in Syracuse and the surrounding region and to monitor its operation once it is established, through public education and citizen action.
CNY PPC supports a democratically accountable public power system that:
- provides affordable energy, reliable service, and responsive customer service;
- that treats its workers fairly; and
- that maximizes energy conservation and efficiency, clean renewable energy sources, and greenhouse gas reductions.
